MISS CANNADY

 

I am very excited to be in first grade at Smoky Row this year! Teaching truly is a dream come true for me, and I cannot wait to share in the learning of these super Rockets!​

This is my sixth year at Smoky Row. During my first two years at SRE, I was fortunate enough to work on the specials team as the teacher in the computer lab!

 

In addition to loving life in first grade, I am SRE's technology coordinator. I enjoy this opportunity to present ideas and help our teachers grow in the area of technology integration!

 

In May 2012, I received my Masters in curriculum development and educational technology from Ball State University. I graduated from Purdue in May 2010 (Go Boilers!) with a degree in elementary education, as well as a reading specialist endorsement. Before my life as a Boilermaker, I attended Orchard Park, Carmel Middle School and Carmel High School. During my last semester at Purdue, I student taught at Mohawk Trails. I'm excited to be back in Carmel, as I know firsthand how fantastic the school corporation is.​​

When I'm not at school, I love reading and finding new books to share with my students. I am also a huge sports fan and am very committed to my teams: the Colts and the Atlanta Braves!

 

I can't wait to get to know these special first graders and can't wait to start learning

with them and from them!​​​
